Feedback

I am writing to introduce 360° Feedback which we are going to use this year as an appraisal tool.

In it, you will be asked to give feedback regarding all other members of the team whom you have contact with and in turn, your colleagues will be asked to give feedback on your performance.  This process will be held in confidence.

Feedback will then be collated by myself and every member of the team will get a summary on an individual basis.  This way, more of each individuals’ attributes will be appraised, rather than simply the ones I myself value or notice, allowing for a more comprehensive appraisal.

In order for this to work properly, it is important to think in general terms rather than specifics; for example, if you think that John Doe is messy with paperwork, has sticky notes all over the place and as a result of this things get lost, this can be described as ‘quite disorganised’.  If you feel the need to put in specific examples to clarify your comments, please do so as this will help me make sense of the feedback.

I hope this is clear to you, but should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Conrad
