Dental Emergencies

Emergencies Arising In Office Hours

Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 17:00. Our practice manager also acts as our administrator and receptionist and may be dealing with other matters arising from time to time. Should our telephone be unmanned, kindly leave a message on the answerphone leaving your name and telephone number and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Dental emergencies are defined as uncontrolled bleeding from the oral cavity, pain that cannot be controlled by using pain-relief medication or a dental infection that causes a swelling which is increasing in size. We are obliged to attend to our existing patients who are suffering from a dental emergency within 2 working days.

Emergencies Arising Outside Office Hours

As of 2006, responsibility for weekends’, public holidays’ and out-of-hours’ care falls with the local health authority. Should you require emergency dental care in such circumstances, please call NHS Norfolk on 111.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain happy to triage our patients over the telephone or via video call.  Please get in touch with us, and we will try our best to help.
